College undergraduates interested in the Commercial Banking field are invited to apply for SouthState’s Intern Program. This 10-week summer program offers a deep dive into the world of banking through interactive job shadowing with a local mentor, instructor-led training and collaborative projects. Executive engagement opportunities include meeting executives and SouthState's CEO.

SouthState’s Interns get a glimpse into specific departments including but not limited to operations, credit, retail banking, wealth management, treasury management, correspondent banking, corporate strategy, commercial lending.

Management Associate Program

Our Management Associate Program is designed for new college graduates looking to start their career in banking. This program offers a structured start to your banking career, fostering group dynamics and consistency. After training, you’ll return to your local SouthState market to advance your career.

As a Management Program Associate, you’ll develop expertise in underwriting, loan processing, portfolio management, and relationship management. This hourly role equips you to acquire new Business Banking clients and enhance existing relationships. With strong performance and available opportunities, you may progress to the Commercial Portfolio Analyst role and then into other roles over time.

Ideal Management Program Associate Candidates

GPA of 3.4 preferred
Must have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree within the last 2 years of start date
Previous internship experience, preferably in finance, banking, or a related field
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
