SouthState Opens Regional Headquarters at Tampa’s Rivergate Tower

Tampa, Florida – August 22, 2025SouthState Bank today announced it has established a new regional headquarters in Tampa’s iconic Rivergate Tower.

“The addition of the Rivergate Tower as our new regional headquarters establishes our commitment to the Tampa community for the long-haul,” said Angel Gonzalez, division president, West Florida Region. “Our vision for SouthState Bank is to be the premier bank throughout Central Florida not only through our banking services, but through our volunteerism and philanthropy in the region.”

Rivergate Tower is a 520,000-square-foot office tower located directly on Curtis Hixon Waterfront park and is a recognizable part of Tampa’s skyline. SouthState’s Rivergate office now houses the bank’s regional Commercial banking team, a training and meeting space, as well as a board meeting room. SouthState now occupies approximately 17,000 square feet of space in the building.
