The ReMARKable Leaders Graduate and Volunteer for Junior Achievement
4/4/2024 - Stories and Insights
Several months prior to graduation, the ReMARKable Leaders were placed into four groups and tasked with creating a Business Action Challenge (BAC) project. The BAC project topics, which were created based on the SouthState Core Values, were assigned to each group who worked with topic experts from all divisions of the bank as well as alumni from the 2022 ReMARKable Leaders.

At graduation, each group presented their BAC project to their leadership, the Operations Committee, and Executive Committee members in hopes of having their BAC approved for bank wide implementation.

On December 7, the ReMARKable Leaders spent the day with 7th graders from Atlanta’s Mary McLeod Bethune Middle School. They worked with the students in the Junior Achievement Finance Park, which is a capstone program for personal financial planning and career exploration. During their visit, the ReMARKable Leaders assisted students as they managed a household budget and learned about personal finance through real-life scenarios.
